Modify Form Layout

Using the Form Layout editor allows users to customize the look of the Feature Form for all Features of a layer. To change the format of a layer (ie. number and type of fields), see Layer Format.

To Access the Form Layout Editor:

Lock the layer for editing.

Double click one of the Features on that layer in the map display or click "View Record" from the Index.

Click the tools button on the Feature Form.

Select Modify Form Layout from the Feature tools menu.

Using the Form Layout Editor reposition fields by clicking and dragging them or right click on the form for more options.

Right click and choose Finished when done.

Repositioning Fields:

To move a field, position the mouse over the field then press and hold the left mouse button. While holding the button down move the field to a different location and then release the mouse button. Use the coordinates displayed in the form's title bar to assist in aligning the field with others. Users can change other attributes of the field such as height, width, label placement, etc. by right clicking on the field.

Change Size of Form:

Users can also change the height and width of the form by positioning the mouse over the edge of the form and dragging it to the desired size. Shrink the height of the form to hide any controls beyond the bottom edge of the form, and then Think GIS will automatically include a vertical scroll bar on the form when it is displayed.
