Filtering Alarms by Vehicle, Label, or Group

 

 

 

This configuration window allows users to set parameters for unit filtering options for this alarm, and is accessible on the Alarms Tab > Add Alarm > Boundary Alarms. Use these options to limit the scope of WHO a specific alarm condition applies to. See List of Units for an explanation of the difference between Vehicle ID, Label, and Group.

 

Vehicle

 

          

 

All

Applies alarm to all AVL vehicles regardless of their Vehicle ID.

Select

Limit the scope of this alarm to only select vehicles.

All but

Applies to all vehicles except for a few. Then type the vehicle IDs to be excluded from the scope of this alarm into the box.

Selection Box

When using Select or All but, enter the vehicles to be tracked here. Type the select vehicle(s) ID into the box. When typing, a list box will appear to pick from. This lists all current vehicle IDs. Use a semi colon to separate vehicle IDs in the list.

 

Labels

 

          

 

All

Applies alarm to all AVL vehicles regardless of their Label.

Select

Limit the scope of this alarm to only select Labels.

Selection Box

When using Select or All but, enter the vehicles to be tracked here. Type the select Label(s) into the box. When typing, a list box will appear to pick from. This lists all current Labels. Use a semi colon to separate Labels in the list.

All but

Applies to all Labels except for the labels designated to be excluded by the user.

Blank

<blank> notice that in the label pick lists there is a "<blank>" option. Select to include or exclude vehicles that have no label. Some agencies use a blank label to indicate that a vehicle is not currently on shift.

 

Groups

 

          

 

All

Applies this alarm to all AVL vehicles regardless of any group they are assigned to.

Select

Limits the scope of this alarm to only select groups.

Blank

When using Select, type the select group names into the box. When typing, a list box will appear to pick from. This is a list of all groups currently setup in the system. Use a semi colon to separate group names in the list.
