Proval Format

This report produces a text file designed for import into the ProVal assessment software. When running this report, users can choose to assess all parcels or just those parcels that match a certain criteria such as all parcels in a certain section, or tax district. For batch reports, any geometry errors are logged to a file.

Special Conditions

All batch reports require both a soil and land use layer. Land use can not be drawn on-the-fly as with the single parcel assessment options. See Land use for list of special codes that must be used.

If the parcel layer contains a field named "Classified Forest" then Think GIS will use the exact acreage from this field in place of any type 21 land use drawn on this parcel.

If the parcel layer contains a field named "pvPropertyClass" then Think GIS will default the batch selection filter to only select parcels that have a property class of >=100 and <199. This limits the report to only those parcels that should receive an agricultural assessment.

If users specify a deed acreage field on the soil report setup page then Think GIS will adjust the acreage of all of the soil/land use parts proportionally so that they add up exactly to the deed acreage specified in this field.

Any homestead land use portions will be adjusted to be exactly 1.0 acres if they measure between 0.9 and 1.1 acres on the map.
