Input method controls how the user interacts with this field on the form.
Normal: The field is displayed as a simple window on a Feature Form, allowing editors to manually enter a value.
Pick List (Basic):
This input method allows users to create a pull-down menu of values to be used for that field. This option will allow editors to also manually enter values that do not appear in the pick list.
Pick List (Advanced):
This input method allows users to create a pull-down menu of values to be used for that field. This option will help users to maintain better map data, as it will restrict editors from manually entering values that do not appear in the pick list. When selecting this option for a field in an existing layer, it will automatically check for any field values that exist in the layer, but are not part of the Pick List. To edit the pick list click the  button to the right of the input method property.
