Use the Zoom in command to view a portion of the map more closely.
To Zoom in to an area:
1) Click the  button or select Zoom In from the View menu.
2) Position the zoom box over the area to view more closely.
3) Click the left mouse button and the view will change to show that area.
Notes:
•While positioning the zoom box, users can use the mouse scroll wheel or PgUp/PgDn keys to resize the box for more precise control.
•By default the zoom box is initially sized to 1/3 the size of the current view. Users can set this scale using the Map Settings window.
•There are even quicker ways to zoom and pan without having to use the menu. See Map Navigation Shortcuts.
•Certain details, or even entire layers, may be automatically turned on and off as users zoom in and out on the map. See Layer Settings to control these settings.
