MrSid Images are compressed image files designed to minimize storage space. MrSid is a trademark of LizardTech (see www.lizardtech.com)
Notes:
•MrSid margins: Some MrSid images are not perfectly rectangular and therefore may have unoccupied pixels in the margins to fill in the unused portion of the overall rectangle. Think GIS will filter out most of these margin pixels so that they don't draw over the top of adjacent images but only if the margin color is pure black or pure white. See the layer's Image Properties for more details.
•Think GIS supports both Generation 2 and the newer Generation 3 MrSid images.
