If the GPS receiver stores waypoints and tracklogs in a GPX file then use this option, located on the Tools Menu > Import/Export Menu, to import these into a map layer.
To import from a GPX file:
1)From the Think GIS main menu select Tools - Import/Export - Import From GPS device - GPX File
2)Browse to and select the GPX file containing the pre-recorded data. This may be a file that previously downloaded to the computer, or users might be able to browse directly to the file on the GPS device if it is connected to the computer. Not all devices support this.
3)Enter a name for the new layer that will be created on the map.
4)The waypoints and tracklog are then read from the file and plotted on the new layer.
