Select Open from the File menu to open a map file.

Think GIS map files have the extension TGM and are usually located in a folder by the same name.

Notes:

•Users can setup Think GIS to automatically open a certain map file every time the program is started by including the name of the map file in the shortcut. For example, the target line "C:\ThinkGIS\tm4.exe f:\jefferson\jefferson.tgm" will start up Think GIS and open the jefferson map stored on the server.

•If prompted for a password while opening a map (rare), it means that one or more layers require a password to view them.
