The AVL Administrator becomes active when connected to a live AVL Service. This tab is where that connection is configured. (Visibility of this tab and/or the options available depend on the permissions set on the Users Tab.)
Notes:
•The AVL Administrator connects to the AVL Server by making a TCP connection on the specified port. Network firewalls and routers must be setup correctly to allow this connection. See AVL Network Requirements.
•Command line parameters can automate the login process. When all four parameters are provided, the AvlAdministrator will automatically connect on startup. This makes it possible to have a desktop shortcut to automatically log into a certain AVL Server. The command line syntax must match one of the following formats:
oAvlAdministrator.exe Address
oAvlAdministrator.exe Address Port
oAvlAdministrator.exe Address Port Username
oAvlAdministrator.exe Address Port Username Password
oExample:
oC:\ThinkGIS\AvlAdministrator.exe 127.0.0.1 17335 admin
