When this box is checked, new vehicles are automatically added to the unit list when they first report their location. This only works for GPS devices that transmit a modem ID. When a GPS report is received with a modem ID not found in the unit list, a new unit is added to the list. The new unit is assigned a Vehicle ID matching its modem ID. An administrator can then see that a new modem is online, change its Vehicle ID to a more descriptive ID, and assign it a color and icon. Whether this option is on or off, units can still manually be added to the list. Click Apply Changes And Restart Service to make this change take affect.
