The Bearing and Distance window can be used to move the cursor before or after starting drawing. If entering B&D mode before clicking your starting point on the map, then the bearing and distance that specified will only move the cursor to its new location without drawing any lines. When reaching the point to start drawing, check this box to start the first line segment at the cursor position about to be establish.
If a starting point is selected on the map before entering B&D mode or if this box has been previously checked, then this box will be grayed out and a line segment is connected to each point as additional points are specified.
