Use this tool, located on Tools Menu > Show Map Editing Tools > Advanced Tools > Cleanup and Conversion Tools, to generate reference lines marking the estimated quarter-quarter division lines of a legal section or any other rectangle shaped entities. This tool is specially designed to account for irregularly shaped sections.
Users must already have a section layer on the map consisting of polyline or area entities marking each section boundary to use this tool. Areas are named using the format "NW1/4 of SE1/4 of X" where X is the label identifying the parent section (or feature). So be sure to setup the short label format of the section layer before running this tool.
