Whenever Think GIS locates something, it zooms in as close as it can to show the entire feature. This setting allows users to limit the zoom to a specified distance across the screen in miles. Increase this number to see more of the surrounding area when finding a feature, or decrease this number to see a more detailed view. The minimum locating range may be changed by selecting a distance range from the drop down list.
