This field type displays a read only value that it automatically calculated each time it is displayed. The value is determined by adding up the total area of all area entities belonging to this feature as calculated by Think GIS. When selected, this field type will display an additional field property where the units to be used for this area may be selected.
1) Enter a short, descriptive Field Name.

2) Select the Calculated Area option for the Field Type.

3) Select the units of measurement in the Units drop down menu.

4) Set the desired number of decimal places to be displayed. The default is zero.

5) Once all parameters are configured, click OK.

6) The Calculated Area will now display in the field.
