Export to GRP File

Use this command, located on the Tools Menu > Import/Export Menu, to export the contents of a Think GIS version 4 layer back to a version 3 .grp file.

To export a layer to GRP file format:

1)Select this tool from the Import /Export menu.

2)Select a layer to export.

3)Specify the name of the GRP file to export to. By default this file will be written to the directory where Think GIS is running unless a full path name is specified here.

4)Select a field. This export process is only capable of exporting a single field of data for each feature.

Notes:

Only the following entity types are exported: lines, areas, symbols, labels. This does not include images, or links.

The resulting GRP file will have the same coordinate system as the source layer.

Layers may be searched for by name in the Select Layers to Export window.
